2010 CSSC FLAG FOOTBALL INFORMATION
|
REGISTRATION DEADLINE NOW IN EFFECT |
Please take note of the registration deadline of Thursday, September
16th, 2010. Prior to this deadline, all registrants are accepted
on a first-come, first-served basis; the closer to September 16th that you get your registration in, the better your chances are of making it
into the league of your choice. After September 16th, if we
require registrants, we will advertise any spots that are available. |
Cancellation Policy |
In order to receive a full refund, cancellations must be
submitted 2 business days prior to the registration deadline applicable to
that season. After this time, no player or team will be eligible for a full
or partial refund or credit. |
General Description |
This is a non-contact, ‘fun-first’ Flag Football league. Games are
played 5 on 5, with a minimum of 2 females on the field at all times. All
receivers are eligible and kicking is permitted. There are 4 downs to a
field. The CSSC offers Really Recreational, Recreational, and
Intermediate divisions. The Really Recreational and Recreational divisions
engage female play more than any other co-ed Flag Football league (see
‘Integral Role’ rule). Games are located throughout the city and are played on private rugby fields
or City of
Calgary
large soccer fields. Four teams play at each field per night. There is an Event Coordinator on-site to update
players on CSSC happenings and to get the games started, however, players are
expected to call their fouls and manage their own game. After your game, meet-up with your teammates and other CSSC
players while enjoying exclusive specials at one of our many Sponsor Bars
around
Calgary. |
Who Can Play? |
Adults aged 18 and
older can join any of our Flag Football leagues. All Flag Football Leagues in
the CSSC are co-ed and self-officiated. For a description of this division's
level of skill, please see below. We welcome full teams, small groups (5 or
more players but not a full team), friends (2-4 players) and individual
registrations. Small groups, friends and individual registrations are
combined with other similar registrants to form a team that remains together
for the duration of the season. Click here for more info.
