CSSC 2009 CSSC FLOOR HOCKEY INFORMATION
|
General Description |
This is
a fast-paced and competitive sport, but the CSSC emphasizes a ‘fun-first’
attitude to the game! This season, sharpen your skills, broaden your
knowledge and have a great time with your team at one of our 5 private
facilities each week. It’s a 5 on 5 game including the goalies (or 6 on 6 if
you register for the Currie Barracks league), with a minimum of 2 females on
the floor at all times. The CSSC offers Recreational, Recreational Plus,
Intermediate and Intermediate Plus/Competitive divisions. We
are proud to offer a new Recreational league on Mondays. This Monday league
will be played at the centrally located Calgary Northeast Sports Facility
(CNSF), complete with a beautiful hardwood floor and player boxes. The CSSC is also introducing a
Tuesday Recreational league for teams or players who want to play on Tuesday
nights but aren't quite ready for the Intermediate Plus/Competitive division.
All games have a Coordinator present but you are expected to call your own
fouls and be responsible for your own play. After your game, meet-up with
your team mates and other CSSC players while enjoying exclusive specials at
one of our many Sponsor Bars around Calgary. Floor Hockey is one of the
CSSC’s most popular sports and leagues sell out quickly. |
Who Can Play? |
Adults aged 18 and older can join the Floor
Hockey leagues. All Floor Hockey Leagues in the CSSC are co-ed. The levels
offered include Recreational, Recreational Plus, Intermediate, and Intermediate
Plus/Competitive. These divisions accommodate all skill levels; from the
beginner to the experienced Floor Hockey Player. For a description of each
division's level of skill, please see below. We welcome full teams, small
groups (5 or more players but not a full team), friends (2-4 players) and
individual registrations. Small groups, friends and individual registrations
are combined with other similar registrants to form a team that remains
together for the duration of the season. Click here for more info. |
