General Overview: This is an ideal job for a student who is taking the summer off and looking for a fun, active summer job, or for someone who is attempting to start a career in the sport industry. If you enjoy working with your hands outdoors, and without constant supervision then this is a job for you.

Start date: Late April/ Early May 2010 with part-time hours available in March and April

Completion date: Full-time work will finish in early September with part-time fall hours available.

Hours:
5 days/week, 40hrs/wk (Mon-Fri)

Rate of pay: $15 per hour, plus bonus

Benefits: Discounts on league play and special events, and daily use of Company Vehicle.


Field Scout Responsibilities:
- Take the company van to sports fields throughout the city to assess viability for use
- Draw a detailed map of the layout of each field, including notes and measurements
- Give an accurate grading of the field and make recommendations on how suitable the field is for use in the Club


Field Maintenance Responsibilities:
- Pick up company van and supplies from office daily
- Line fields with marker based on sport we are playing
- Mow Fields with company equipment as needed
- Repair and/or replace any important equipment used for sport (e.g. Soccer nets)
- Rake Slo-Pitch diamonds with modified equipment
- Any other tasks assigned by CSSC Management
- Purchase supplies that are needed to maintain fields

Admin:

- Meet with CSSC management on a regular basis to obtain a list of fields and to review assessed fields
- Meet with office staff on a regular basis to review fields that need to be visited and maintained
- Weekly update of important office files
- Weekly updates to online maps that are provided to players
- Weekly update to Goals sheet
