Field Advisor Overview

Positions available:
1 Full-time Position

General Overview: The Field Advisor will directly assist the League Operations Manager with the administration of the Games Coordinator (GC) program, assist the Player Liaison with the Sportsmanship Program and help with the scouting/booking of facilities. The successful applicant will have a large impact on the day to day operations of the GC Program as well as play a large role in improving our facility management process.

Start date: August 2011
Completion date: Permanent Position

Rate of pay: Salary + Bonus + Health ($37-$40K). Opportunity for regular reviews and wage increases.

Hours: A typical work week will consist of 5 days/week, 44 hours total.
- The work will week be a combination of full or half days in the office, and evening field work.
- Typical shifts range from 9:00am-5:00pm, and/or 2:00pm-10:00pm
- Field Advisor will be required to answer phone calls weekday evenings and on Sundays if issues arise at games/facilities.
- Flexible schedule required in order to balance daytime office hours, Sunday or nighttime field hours and not exceed the 44 hours/week.
- No Saturday work required

Responsibilities:

Games Coordinator Program:
- Recruit new Games Coordinators to the Club
- Assist in hiring Games Coordinators
- Work with the MLO to create and manage the weekly schedule for the Games Coordinators
- Partner with the League Operations Manager to run pre-season and mid-season GC Meetings
- Visits to Games Coordinators at their shifts: provide support, and training as needed
- Evaluate Games Coordinators and provide feedback
- Maintain GC Scorekeeper Website

Sportsmanship Program:
- Assist the Player Liaison with sportsmanship rulings
- Follow up with GC's in regard to sportsmanship rulings
- Visit teams that are having sportsmanship issues

Facility Managment:
- Work with MLO to maintain facility relationships
- Manage the equipment at fields and gyms
- Visits to facilities that have had previous equipment or other issues

Day-to-day Operations:
- Attend weekly staff meeting and leagues meetings
- Regular goal setting and review meetings with the MLO
- Other responsibilities assigned by the League Managers

- Previous sports related experience
- Previous experience in a Leadership Role
