General Overview:
Tired of those boring summer jobs stuck mowing lawns and trimming
bushes? Then, come help administer our Beach Volleyball leagues
by doing daily coordination of our on-site nets and courts! The
Beach Volleyball leagues run Sunday - Thursday evenings. This is
a great job for people who enjoy working outside, like meeting people,
and want a chance to make the CSSC BVB leagues the best in town. This is
an ideal job for an active student as you can still take classes
in the morning, or for a student taking the summer off and is looking
for a fun, active summer job, or for someone who is attempting to
start a career in the sport industry.
Start
date: April 12, 2010
Completion
date: Early-to-mid September
2009. Leagues will end no earlier than September 10th so candidates may have
to work some shifts after the Fall 2009
school session has started.
Hours:
5 evenings, 40hrs/wk (~2:30-10:30pm Sun-Thurs)
Rate
of pay: $13-$15 per hour
Benefits: Discounts on league play and special
events. Opportunity to sub-in for missing
volleyball players during league play.
Responsibilities:
- Arrive at facility and plan out courts
- Set-up nets, boundary lines, stereos, banners,
and other required equipment
- Greet the players as they arrive and make
player announcements (optional)
- Monitor courts
during games, solve problems as needed
- Take down equipment and store in pre-assigned
location
- Any other tasks assigned by the Club Manager
or Facility Manager (sand maintenance, court/patio maintenance,
etc.)
Qualifications:
- Reliable
- Dedicated
- Must have full-time access to a vehicle (truck
or van an asset)
- Ability to work Independently without constant supervision
- Conscientious
- Problem solving
