General Overview: The Calgary Sport and Social Club would like to present this exciting opportunity to join our team for the summer and help administer our Beach Volleyball Leagues! This job includes daily coordination of our on-site nets and courts! The Beach Volleyball leagues run Sunday - Thursday evenings. This is a great job for people who enjoy working outside, like meeting new people, and want a chance to make the CSSC BVB leagues the best in town. This is an ideal job for an active student as you can still take classes in the morning, or for an individual looking for a fun, active summer job. This is also a great opportunity to gain experience in the sports industry or other related fields.

Start date: April 2011

Completion date: Early-to-mid September 2011. Leagues will end around the second week of September, and applicants would be expected to work until this time.


Hours: 40hrs/wk (~2:30-10:30pm Sun-Thurs)


Rate of pay: $14-$16 per hour (Final rate dependent on bonus).

Responsibilities:
- Arrive at facility and set-up nets, boundary lines, stereos, banners, and other required equipment
- Greet the players as they arrive and make player announcements
- Monitor courts during games, solve problems as needed
- Take down equipment and store in pre-assigned location
- Any other tasks assigned by the Club Manager or Facility Manager (sand maintenance, court/patio maintenance, etc.)
