Improv
In 1996, the Calgary Sport & Social Club's original mission was to provide well organized, co-ed sports leagues that had a social element on the playing fields and afterwards at the pub. Over the years, this spirit has remained intact, although the play is constantly improving and the programs are always evolving. While each league has taken on its own identity, there are some key factors that will affect CSSC players (see specifics below)

About our CSSC Leagues

Co-ed Leagues All CSSC leagues are co-ed.
Players must be at least 18 years of age to play.
Spirit of the Game We emphasize fun first, winning second.
Post Game Socials
Each week night will feature several sponsor bars. Join the party!
Defaults Respect your peers - never default a game. The CSSC can help teams to find subs. Teams must submit a new deposit each season (previous deposits will be returned or destroyed), in some cases we can transfer them upon request.
Schedules
Are posted to the website no later than 24 hours prior to you first scheduled game.
Rules Rules are available online under each sport.
Game Times & Locations: Start times vary by league and sport. Indoor sports have Sunday start times may range between 9am-10pm and week night games with start time between 6:15-10:00pm. Outdoor sports have start time ranging between 6:15-8:30pm. Facilities/locations for games are city-wide - some leagues play all games at one facility, others may use many different locations.
Skill Levels
Most leagues feature divisions, which are defined by the skill level of the players. These range from recreational leagues up to divisions for experienced players. In all leagues, the CSSC reserves the right to move teams to a division better suited to their level of play, regardless of whether the team has registered early.
Default Fee
Due to overwhelming support from our players, and similar policies in other city leagues, the CSSC has implemented a program to help eliminate defaults. Each time a team defaults they are charged $50. To pay for the default fee the team must phone the CSSC office with a credit card number. As of Winter 2007 $25 goes to the team that was defaulted against and $25 goes to a non-profit organization..
