The Grey Cup and the 2010 CSSC Winter Season are Just Around the Corner! |
The Grey Cup and the 2010 CSSC Winter Season have many things in common including:
1.) Partying - Either in the parking lot of MacMahon Stadium or at your favorite Sponsor Bar, you'll be able to party and socialize with sports-minded Albertans.
2.) Chance to be 'on top' - Whether you're a CSSC or CFL Champ, you'll receive an opportunity to be 'on top'. You'll either be hoisting Canada's oldest trophy or wearing the legendary CSSC Champ Shirts!
3.) Sightings of beautiful women - Whether it's a chearleader or that hot girl you just smashed with a Dodgeball, you're always surrounded by beautiful women at the Grey Cup or in one of the CSSC leagues.
4.) The thrill of competition - Whether you're a paid professional CFL player (we use the term 'paid' lightly) or a CSSC player, you'll experience an overwhelming thrill to compete while reaping the benefits of physical activity.
5.) The possibility of playing with a real professional athlete - We've had many professional athletes play in the CSSC's leagues in the past. This includes professional hockey players, wrestlers and football players. Many of them are just trying on another sport for size.

ATTENTION NON-FOOTBALL FANS!
|
The women of the CSSC office have come together to share some of the important things we’ve learned about football over the years…
General Tips About Football:
- 5 minutes of a football game is equivalent to 30 minutes in real life.
- A “tight end” does not refer to a man with a nice rear end…necessarily.
- When the ref throws the flag, it means something bad has happened. He’s not just excited.
- If someone you know is extremely upset that ‘their’ team lost the big game, try to remember that in their minds this was a personal attack against them in which they may never recover.
- A “huddle” is not a team group hug and a “quarterback” is not a $0.25 refund.
- The cheerleaders are way more entertaining than the players, mesmerizing almost.
- The extremely large players on the field are not jolly mascots running around to make us giggle, they are in fact crucial to the game and are supposed to be that big.
|
 |
At the Game:
- Dress warm (games feel like they last forever) and don’t ask your boyfriend to leave before the fourth quarter is over. This will not win you “good girlfriend points”.
- Avoid anyone with painted faces and hats made of watermelons, they are likely to cause a lot of chaos and you don’t want to get stuck in the crossfire!
At Home or at the Bar:
- Many believe that if you yell at the TV screen, the players and refs can actually hear you. Also, if you yell loud enough they will do as you say.
- When cheering on your favorite team at the game or at the bar it is perfectly acceptable for men (or women) to express their feelings. This may come out in the form of moans, grunts, cheers or even chest bumps.

Essentials for a Memorable Grey Cup Party |
1.) Large Flatscreen TV - Whether it's a plasma, LCD or otherwise, that CFL field is mighty big so it requires a mighty big tube to catch all the action. Gentlemen- size DOES matter. We recommend 52" or more.
2.) Beer - And a ton of it! You may not want to drink Pilsner like a Rider Fan. We recomment a good Sleaman Honey Brown. Preferably the keg variety!
3.) A Disinterested Spouse/ Girlfriend - having at least one of these party poopers may seem like a drag but are actually there to prevent a 'sausage party'.
4.) Obnoxious Friend Cheering for the 'Enemy' - The best part about having this guy in the room is rubbing his face in the loss after your team hoists the Grey Cup.
5.) Food - Watching sports makes everyone hungry. Be sure to provide copious amounts of greesy munchies. Napkins should be transparent at the end of the game.
