GENERAL INFORMATION

WHO CAN PLAY?

All players must be 18 years of age or older.

WAIVERS:

All players, including subs, must complete an online waiver prior to playing in any league or event.

OFFICIATING:

All players in CSSC Slo Pitch leagues are responsible for keeping score, calling their own fouls and managing the game.

HOW TO REGISTER:

All registrations can be done online. If you are unable to pay with credit card online, you can come down to the office to pay with cash or debit.

CANCELLATIONS:

Cancellations must be submitted 2 business days prior to the registration deadline in order to receive a full refund. After this time, no player or team will be eligible for a full or partial refund or credit.

WEATHER POLICY:

For outdoor sports, all players should be familiar with the weather policy.

DEFAULTS:

All players should understand the default policy.

SCHEDULES:

Schedules are posted a minimum of 2 business days before the first game.

GAME TIMES:

Saturday	All Games will begin at 12:00pm
Sunday Afternoon	All Games will begin between 2:00pm and 4:00pm
Sunday Evenings / Weekdays	Games will begin between 6:15pm and 8:15pm. Some diamonds will be used multiple times in one evening.

ROSTERS:

3 - Pitch	9 players, (teams pitch to themselves), with at least three females on the field/in the batting line up, at all times.
Traditional	10 players, (teams pitch to opposing teams), with at least three females on the field/in the batting line up, at all times.

EQUIPMENT:

The CSSC provides each team with bases, balls and cones to mark the field. This equipment is picked up pre-season and an $100 equipment deposit (Recreational Plus/Intermediate) or $50 (Recreational) is supplied at that time from each team. Deposits are returned at the end of the season when equipment is returned cleaned to the CSSC. The CSSC supplies equipment to each team for a refundable deposit. To learn more, click here.

Required of teams/players (All Divisions)	Players provide their own bats, gloves, apparel, and their footwear of choice.

PERMITS:

The TC must take a permit to their game each week.

PLAYER MEETINGS:

All new teams and individuals must attend a Players Meeting for the Spring and Summer seasons. To learn more, click here.

FACILITIES:

Citywide	The diamonds are rented from Calgary Parks and Recreation, and are located throughout the City of Calgary, in all quadrants. All diamonds used in CSSC Leagues have a shale infield, a grass outfield and benches for players to sit on.
NW NEW	The diamonds are rented from Calgary Parks and Recreation, and are located in the NW of the city. All diamonds used in CSSC Leagues have a shale infield, a grass outfield and benches for players to sit on.
SW NEW	The diamonds are rented from Calgary Parks and Recreation, and are located in the SW of the city. All diamonds used in CSSC Leagues have a shale infield, a grass outfield and benches for players to sit on.
East NEW	The diamonds are rented from Calgary Parks and Recreation, and are located on the East side of the city. All diamonds used in CSSC Leagues have a shale infield, a grass outfield and benches for players to sit on.
West NEW	The diamonds are rented from Calgary Parks and Recreation, and are located on the West side of the city. All diamonds used in CSSC Leagues have a shale infield, a grass outfield and benches for players to sit on.
Central NEW	The diamonds are rented from Calgary Parks and Recreation, and are located in the centre of the city. All diamonds used in CSSC Leagues have a shale infield, a grass outfield and benches for players to sit on.
North NEW	The diamonds are rented from Calgary Parks and Recreation, and are located on the North side of the city. All diamonds used in CSSC Leagues have a shale infield, a grass outfield and benches for players to sit on.
South NEW	The diamonds are rented from Calgary Parks and Recreation, and are located on the South side of the city. All diamonds used in CSSC Leagues have a shale infield, a grass outfield and benches for players to sit on.

SEASON LENGTH:

8 Weeks	There will be 8 weeks of games throughout the season (including playoffs). There may be instances where byes are scheduled due to facility availability, meaning that 8 games may be played over 9 - 11 weeks.
16 Weeks NEW	There will be 16 weeks of games throughout the season (including playoffs). There may be instances where byes are scheduled due to facility availability, meaning that 16 games may be played over 17 - 20 weeks.
