CSSC 2009 CSSC SLO-PITCH INFORMATION
|
General Description |
Be a part
of one of our largest and most social sports. In Slo-Pitch, all pitches
are ‘lobbed’ between 6 and 12 feet, making it easier for batters to make
contact. The CSSC offers Recreational, Recreational Plus, Intermediate and
two Quadrant leagues (where games are only played in your neck of
the woods). All games are played on good quality
fields that have shale infields, large backstops and player benches. The
batting team supplies umpires. All divisions, except for Recreational, have
10 players on the field, with a minimum of three females. The Recreational
division uses the ‘3 pitch’ system, with each team pitching to their own
batters with a maximum of 3 pitches per batter. This division has 9 players
on the field, with a minimum of 3 females. After
your game, meet-up with your teammates and other CSSC players while enjoying
exclusive specials at one of our many Sponsor Bars around Calgary. |
Who Can Play? |
Adults aged 18 and older can join
the Slo-Pitch leagues. All Slo-Pitch divisions in the CSSC are co-ed and
self-officiated. We welcome full teams, small groups (5 or more players but
not a full team), friends (2-4 players) and individual registrations. Small
groups, friends and individual registrations are combined with other similar
registrants to form a team that remains together for the duration of the
season. Click here for more info.
