SUMMER 2008 SCHEDULE
WEDNESDAY SLO-PITCH
Recreational Plus ‘C’ Division

IMPORTANT LEAGUE NOTES:
¨        Games will be played at different locations. The CSSC tries to rent centrally located fields, but the best fields often require a further drive.
¨        Please arrive at your field early in order to ensure games start on time. Please see the rules for late penalties and defaults.
¨        WEATHER: for daily weather updates and the status of your games, visit www.calgarysportsclub.com - game status posted at top of “CSSC Central” home page
¨        If the website indicates the games are “on” players must report to the field on time, even if it is raining or the temperature is cool, to avoid a default.
¨        Captains must report their scores and sportsmanship ratings online by 5:00pm the next day.
¨        Some ball diamonds have irregularities that should be noted and discussed by the captains before playing. Two common examples are the bases are not 60 feet apart (on grass infields) and need to be adjusted, or the outfield is short and ground rule doubles will be awarded rather than home runs. These will be noted on the Google map link for the field.
¨        For complete rules, ask your captain for the official CSSC rulebook (see on website).
¨        Waivers must be submitted online by each player (click on “Waivers”) before the first game played.
¨        Join us at an official CSSC sponsor bar after your game, please present your CSSC Sponsor Bar card to the server and you will receive discounts and specials on food and drinks!!! For a listing of the CSSC Sponsor Bar closest to your field, check the website www.calgarysportsclub.com and click on “Sponsor Bars” on the home page.

PLAYOFFS:

Thanks to all teams who played with a clean, fun approach this season. Remember that you must respect all players, especially during the playoffs!

A team that wins their playoff game but has sportsmanship issues may have their win overturned and may not be allowed to continue this season or in future seasons.

The Season Ending Party will be held on Thursday, September 18^th at Jameson’s Irish Pub NE. Everyone is welcome and all Summer League Champs must attend to pick-up their T-shirts!

Registration for the Fall 2008 Season is NOW open! Register early, leagues sell out fast! Sports being offered include: Indoor Volleyball, Dodgeball, Basketball, Badminton, Floor Hockey, Slo-pitch, Ultimate, Flag Football-Turf, Soccer: Indoor, Outdoor and Turf. Register Now!
