Why You Should Play: Even if you've never curled before, you'll feel right at home! There will be a Curling Clinic to start the day where new players can learn the rules and skills. On top of playing a really fun sport at a premium facility, you'll also find a full bar onsite! The CSSC will be hosting various games/competitions throughout the day that relate to the tournament theme.
Doubles Board: The 'Doubles Board' awards one person each round with a free drink! To win, you need to knock at least two of your opponents rocks out of the house in one shot. When you do, grab the board! If another person makes a double takeout before the end of the third end, they can steal the board away from you. Last person with the board wins the drink!
Facility: Huntington Hills Curling Club (520 78 Ave NW)
Division: All Skill Levels! Whether it's your first time out on the ice, or you're a seasoned pro, you're welcome at this event. We'll match you up against people of similar skill level throughout the day!
Approx. Times:
- 10:00am to 6:00pm
- Official times will be sent to teams no later than 5:00pm on Thursday the week of the event
- Guaranteed 4 (3-end) matches
- Teams consist of 4 players (no co-ed requirements)
- All participants must be 18+ years old
There will be door prizes throughout the day as well as a 50/50 so you can earn some cold hard cash and donate to one of our community partners.
Equipment:
- All players must bring a pair of clean indoor-only shoes to wear on the ice
- The facility will provide some sliders and brooms, but there won’t be enough for everyone, so you will have to share
After-Party: Stick around after the last game for championship team and costume awards! The Top 4 teams will be awarded champ prizing, and there will be a draw-off between all 4 to determine the Ultimate FunSpiel Champ. Plus, the bar doesn't shut down until you do; stay as long as you like upstairs in the lounge to keep the fun going.
