The SSC culture (Calgary and Edmonton offices), is a performance-oriented environment. We place a strong emphasis on hiring exceptional people and giving them all of the support that they need to excel in their roles. This is the most interesting role I’ve ever had, and certainly the most rewarding! Over the past five years, the Club and this position have helped me develop my character and skills, and I will be leaving behind some accomplishments I am extremely proud of. I am thankful for our managers and the director for being the foundation of strong leaders and an excellent team, and for being supportive and open to new ideas. This is a team who wants everyone to succeed and will help you in anyway to achieve your goals. They have been fantastic role models and I have learned how to lead my own team of volunteers and part-time staff; a group that the next Leagues Coordinator is going to love! The CSSC is always observing, listening, adapting and evolving – and we have a lot of fun along the way. Responsibilities & Qualifications

Positions Available: 1

Start Date: June 2019

Hours: Full-time hours (40-44 hrs/wk) Monday – Friday. Shifts will be between the hours of 8:30 am and 7:00 pm, and the Leagues Coordinator will be required to work a variety of shifts as determined by the Manager and Administrative team. Some evening and weekend work will be required during season start-ups (January, April, July, and September).

Event Coordinator (EC) Program:
• Recruit player volunteers to represent the SSC at the gyms/fields
• Coordinate and host training sessions for new ECs each season
• Be on-call during EC shifts (evenings after office hours and weekends)
• Manage equipment and supplies, daily announcements and overall program

Beach Volleyball Coordinator (BVBCs) Management:
• Recruit and train BVBCs as needed
• Host weekly goal setting and review meetings, do on-site training and evaluations
• Process pay requests and manage administrative functions

League & Office Administration:
• Manage incoming league registrations, scores and league standings
• Assist in creating, posting and communicating league schedules
• Complete all necessary back-end tasks relating to developing and running successful leagues
• Provide gold star customer service in-person, over the phone and via email

Manager of League Operations (MLO) Support:
• Assist MLO in day-to-day management of office and league administration duties
• Provide a high level of support to the Leagues Administrative team
• Collaborate directly with MLO on league initiatives and development of processes

• University or College degree
• Full-time work experience in an office setting or leadership role is an asset
• High level of computer competence with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)

• Flexible with work schedule; available to be on-call outside of office hours

Compensation Package

• $50,000 inclusive of salary, overtime pay and benefits
• Regular performance evaluations facilitate growth in responsibilities and compensation
