You asked, we listened. Until recently, if you wanted to play basketball under the standard FIBA rules (a.k.a. like the pros), you had to register for our Premium leagues. Now don’t get me wrong, the facility line-up in our Premium leagues is outstanding and well worth the investment! However if you enjoy the variety in having multiple citywide gyms and prefer paying a lower cost, we now have an option for you.

Let’s compare our two standard divisions and their key differences, along with some changes that’ve been made.

Shot taken from behind the 3 point line
Rec: Shot made is worth 2pts
Rec Plus: Shot made is worth 3pts

Defensive player fouls an offensive player in the act of shooting; shot is made
Rec: Basket counts and 1 free throw awarded worth 1pt; players line up
Rec Plus: Basket counts and 1 free throw awarded worth 1pt; players line up

Defensive player fouls an offensive player in the act of shooting; shot is missed
Rec: 1 free throw awarded worth 2pts; players line up
Rec Plus: 2-3 free throws awarded worth 1pt each; players line up

Missed final free throw
Rec: The ball is live off the rebound
Rec Plus: The ball is live off the rebound

Full-court press
Rec: Not allowed
Rec Plus: Allowed as long as the score is within 10pts (half court press once score exceeds 10pts)

Delay of game (intentionally holding the ball out of bounds to stall)
Rec: If the GC agrees with the call, the defending team will be given possession
Rec Plus: If the GC agrees with the call, the defending team will be given possession

Note that our Premium league still have a couple rules unique to them, regardless of division, such as a traditional individual foul count as well as a bonus system after 7 team fouls.
