We have all played those games where one player on the opposing team keeps cranking the ball over the outfielders heads with seemingly no effort; how much Wheaties do they eat for breakfast? Do they eat it for lunch and dinner too? Regardless of the amount of cereal they may or may not eat in a single day, we provide all teams with reduced flight Slo-Pitch balls that they are required to use for all games. Sure, maybe that sounds boring, but it helps keep the playing field even. Even with the reduced flight composition, these babies can fly 300+ feet when you hit the sweet-spot.
Beyond the skill level of some of our players, we also require teams to use our reduced flight balls due to the nature of our rentals and the fields we play on. The majority of our rentals are on fields in communities where we are next to schools, homes, parked cars, etc. Reduced flight balls help ensure we keep the ball on the field and not through a window onto a resident’s kitchen table. Pssst… if that happens in your game, the player who hit the ball is responsible for covering the cost of the damage… just saying…
