What Height Is Right?

Do you know what a fun volleyball drinking game is? Taking a swig every time you hear someone say “is this the net the right height?” followed by them reaching an arm up to measure. I guarantee that you’ll be 105% hydrated by the end of the game!

Nets in our leagues should all be set to men’s height, also known as 2.43 meters or 7 feet and 11 5/8 inches. Oftentimes this will be marked on the volleyball poles for ease of reference while setting up. No markings on the pole? Going with the highest setting is often a good bet!

If all else fails… use your arm to measure!
