Welcome to the Block-Party, why defence wins games

Wednesday, September 27, 2017 - 11:00

Bump, set, spike ... point? Not always. From the recreational to the competitive divisions, defence can be the difference maker in winning big points to put your team in a position to compete for the league championship! When we talk about defence, it's the blockers who put up the 'wall' to stop a team from returning the ball over the net or force hitters to redirect the ball letting the back row get the 'dig' and keep the ball in play.

Our Event Coordinators are players just like you that volunteer to help facilitate our Indoor Volleyball, Badminton, Flag Football, Ultimate, and Tennis leagues. They play a huge role in ensuring that all players enjoy themselves each and every night. Tasks include bringing equipment to the gym/field, setting up, doing the pre-game announcements, keeping the games on time, reporting the scores to the office, and more!

Oh Dios mio! Another Net/Line Violation?

Wednesday, May 10, 2017 - 15:45

Hola! Buenos Dais! Ever have trouble drawing the line? Well I’m here to help you cross (or not cross) that barrier with a dose of common net and line violations in our Indoor Volleyball Leagues!

What is a Net Violation?

Touching the net with any part of the body while the ball is in play is a net violation.

Players are allowed to touch the posts, ropes or any other object outside the antennae or court lines as long as it does not interfere with the play. Players are not allowed to touch the part of the antennae that is above the top of the net.
