Legends Player of the Playoffs | Calgary Sport & Social Club

The Legends Player of the Playoffs program is all about recognizing players who display great sportsmanship and positive spirit during their playoff games. This is a prize that is unique to our Legends leagues.

How it works: At the conclusion of each playoff game, each team nominates a player on the opposing team who displayed great sportsmanship and had a positive attitude throughout their match. All nominated players are entered into a draw and one lucky winner is chosen as the Legends Player of the Playoffs for each Legends league.

Prize: Legends Player of the Playoffs winners are awarded a $50 gift card to a SSC sponsor bar or to the CSSC.

Russell Bowers Team: Even our Girls Have Balls - Individuals Team	Night/Div/Sport: Legends Tuesday Recreational Floor Hockey Experience in the Legends League: I joined the CSSC last Fall as an individual and my only goal was to find a way to play my favourite game, and sweat a little each week. Over the course of the last few months, I have had a blast pretending to be my hero, Ken Dryden, even if the score each game makes that a big delusion! However, I’ve also played defense and found that I’m enjoying preventing goals as much as I enjoy being a target. Most importantly, from that first team of individuals I played with, I made friends with a core group of people who I’ve socialized with and come to enjoy their company away from the various gyms. We enjoy learning from each other, teaching each other, and encouraging each other. My Tuesday nights are the highlight of my week because of Natalie, Jory, Kathleen, Andre, Lucas, Sonja, and the others we’ve played with. We don’t win, but we laugh.
