Event Coordinators are a large group of players that volunteer to help facilitate games in many CSSC leagues. This includes Badminton, Curling, Pickleball, Volleyball, Flag Football, Ultimate, and Tennis. They are essential to CSSC leagues and play a huge role in ensuring that all players enjoy themselves each and every night. Although their assistance is greatly appreciated and there are many excellent members out at the games, each season the Club recognizes a select few with the EC of the Season Award.
Each winner is nominated through player submissions, CSSC Staff recommendations, and/or based off the League Coordinator evaluations. The goal is to award those that display a positive and friendly attitude, while at the same time being a committed volunteer and providing players with the best experience possible.

|Event Coordinator: Hector Mantolino||Bio|
Hector joined the CSSC in 2018 to learn how to play volleyball. After an enjoyable first season, he volunteered as an EC to become more familiar with the rules and engage with other players. Becoming an EC with CSSC has given him a rewarding experience contributing to a fun and active community.
|Event Coordinator: Bruce Kirkwood||Bio|
Bruce joined the CSSC Pickleball League in 2018. His daughter Andrea had contacted him stating she wanted a change in sports and wondered if he would be interested in playing Pickleball. Bruce responded: “Absolutely! What’s Pickleball??”
Bruce honestly didn’t care what sport he and his daughter played, as long as he got to spend 3 precious hours together, every week.
Bruce became an EC after games started up again post COVID as he thought it would be a better way to get to know the other players. It also gave him a nudge towards helping others improve their games and enjoy the sport more. "Our 'students' M&M played so well in the last session they beat us in 3 sets to win the championship. I still love my daughter time, but am really enjoying being an EC."
Thanks to Maria at CSSC and all the other staff for all the background work you do.
