The CSSC is excited to announce that we’ve partnered with AXE Throwing Calgary and are hosting our second CSSC Axe Throwing Tournament! If you’ve never tried it, it’s time to experience for yourself why everyone is talking about this new sport. The theme will be LumberJacks & Jills. Plaid, beards, denim, that pine smell, hatchets. These are just a few items that are guaranteed to make an appearance at this event. Make sure you Register Today for our most timber cruisin’, tree fallin’ event of the season!

Thank you AXE Throwing Calgary for hosting and putting together this short video from our first CSSC AXE Throwing Tournament last weekend! It will not be our last :).

Event Details

Location: AXE Throwing Calgary - 5923 3rd Street SE

Times: We will be hosting two different tournaments in one day. When registering, you will need to choose which time slot you’d like to play.

Morning Start – 11:00am-2:00pm
Afternoon Start – 3:30pm-6:30pm

Theme: LumberJacks and Jills. Start growing those beards now and come dressed for the occasion!

Cost: $210 per team, $55 for individuals.

Rules: We will begin the day with an orientation where you’ll learn the rules, safety tips to avoid any ‘axe-cidents’, and how to throw. Then you’ll have some time to practice before the event begins. There will be trained instructors facilitating the tournament and throwing coaches available throughout the day. During the tournament, players will go head-to-head, taking turns throwing an axe at a target. Bring your friends, closed-toe shoes and a fun-first attitude. The CSSC and AXE Throwing Calgary will supply everything else.

Format: Teams will consist of 4 players each (no co-ed restrictions). Players will participate in short (but epic) matches, giving you plenty of throwing and social time. There will be a round robin and then a single elimination playoff. A team prize will be awarded to the team with the highest cumulative score after the round robin and the overall tournament winner will be awarded individually.

Cancellation Policy: Please contact the CSSC office no later than Friday the week before the event to receive a full refund. Refunds will not be given after this point.
