Ball Hockey

The classic Canadian pastime.

CSSC Co-ed Ball Hockey Leagues (which you also know as Floor Hockey) allow you to leave the cold chill of the arena behind while still experiencing a fun full-body workout. With a variety of offerings, there's a league for anyone looking to get in the game at a recreational level.

After your game, meet up with your teammates and other players to enjoy exclusive food and drink specials at one of the CSSC's many Sponsor Bars around Calgary!

League Length
  • Winter, Spring, Fall: 9-weeks

  • Summer: 8-weeks

All teams play once a week on the day they select when registering.

Typical Game Times
  • Evening Leagues: 6pm to 10:30pm

  • Afternoon/Evening Leagues: 12pm to 8:30pm

  • Morning Leagues: 8am to 11am

While our leagues are self-officiated, there is a Games Coordinator onsite to help manage equipment, time and scores. Games consist of two, 25-minute halves and a 5-minute half-time, and bookings are typically 1 hour long.

4 on 4 - Co-ed

Games are played 4 on 4 (not including the goalie) with a minimum of two female players on the court.

4 on 4 - Co-ed - Masters

Are you 40+? Our Masters format is built for people 40 years of age or older! Games are played 4 on 4 (not including the goalie) with a minimum of two female players on the court.

Divisions are based on the experience and skills of a team - not on their competitive behaviour! No matter what skill level you register for, all players are expected to play with a 'fun-first, winning-second' attitude.

If you have any questions about the different skill levels or where to place yourself, just call us!

Recreational

This division is for teams who are newer to the sport, or teams that consist of a mix of experienced and inexperienced players. Some players may still be learning the rules of Ball Hockey, meaning the flow of the game will not always be natural. If the majority of players are experienced and skilled, then the team should move up to a higher level if available.
