Become an Event Coordinator

Want to play for free?

We depend on a large group of volunteers called Event Coordinators (ECs) to help facilitate games in some of our sports, including: Badminton, Bowling, Curling, Darts, Disc Golf, Lawn Bowling, Pickleball, Volleyball, Ultimate and Tennis.

Our team of ECs play a huge role in ensuring our players have the best experience possible each and every night.

Benefits

Being an EC for the CSSC has its perks, including:

  • Free or discounted league play.

  • Free or discounted entry into select tournaments and events.

  • Free apparel.

  • Recognition and rewards throughout the season.

Roles

ECs are players in the League who are already registered on a team for the season. They help us manage game day at the facility for their league, including:

  • Arriving early

  • Bringing the equipment and permits

  • Facilitating setup and take down (with help from the other players!)

  • Acting as the onsite contact for facility staff

  • Updating players with pre-game announcements

  • Ensuring matches run on time

  • Ensuring players leave the facility when the permit ends

  • Reporting scores

Becoming an EC

Volunteering to be an EC is easy and can be done in one of two ways:

  1. Simply check off the ‘I want to EC’ option on the registration form when registering for your league

  2. Call or email our team

EC Awards

At the end of each season, an EC will be chosen to receive the EC of the Season Award! This award is given to those who are not only committed and organized volunteers, but who also help provide our players with a fun and positive experience.
