Learn to Play Curling This Fall!
Your nights just got a lot cooler. We’ve teamed up with the professionals to bring you our “Learn to Curl” program. For 6-weeks, you’ll learn the ins and outs of the game and get to play in a few for-fun scrimmages to test out what you’ve learned.

Learn the rules, etiquette, safety protocols, what the 'house' is, how to sweep, how to throw, and more.
Participants will be randomly broken up into teams and will participate in various scrimmages so that you can apply your knowledge in a game setting.
The instructor will be on hand to observe and give tips as play takes place.

Eva Jones coaching journey started when her kids were in the Calgary Curling Club Junior program and continued after her kids graduated. Her goal has always been to teach kids correct curling skills and that led her into the rest of her coaching journey. She has taught/coached at many adult and junior learn to curl programs since 2004.
Eva is a certified Competition Coach who has worked with competitive curlers since 2010. She has coached at many curling camps, including Alberta Rocks Junior and Adult Camps and BC Rockslide Junior Camp, and has been a guest coach at the U21 High Performance Curling Centre in Calgary. Eva went to Inuvik, NWT to run a high performance camp in 2022. For self-development she is working on completing her Competition Development Coaching Certification. Her motto is “with great teamwork and having fun Eva believes the team can be greater than the sum of its parts”.
Participants will just need to come prepared with indoor, non-marking shoes, dress in comfortable (and warm) athletic wear and maybe hats or mittens. The temperature inside the rink typically is set between -3 and -5.
Curling brooms and sliders will be provided by the facility.
Players will likely get a rotation of 2 different timeslots of 2 hours each. This is dependent on the number of registrants and is subject to change.
