Slo-Pitch + Soccer + Dodgeball = Good Times!
CSSC Kickball brings a fresh new twist to a classic playground pastime that you might remember as "Soccer-Baseball." This Calgary Co-ed Kickball League is for adults only and is even more fun than when you played as a kid. Whether you were the schoolyard jock or always picked last, everyone is welcome to play in this highly social, fun-first league.
After your game, meet up with your teammates and other players to enjoy exclusive food and drink specials at one of the CSSC's many Sponsor Bars around Calgary.
Spring, Summer: 8-weeks
Fall: 5-weeks
All teams play once a week on the day they select when registering.
Evening Leagues (Spring and Summer): 6pm to 9pm
Afternoon Leagues: 3pm to 6pm
All CSSC Kickball Leagues are self-officiated. Games are 9 innings in length or 90 minutes, whichever comes first!
Traditional - Co-ed
Games are played with 10 players on the field, including a minimum of 3 female players.
Divisions are based on the experience and skills of a team - not on their competitive behaviour! No matter what skill level you register for, all players are expected to play with a 'fun-first, winning-second' attitude.
If you have any questions about the different skill levels or where to place yourself, just call us!
This division is for teams who are newer to the sport, or teams that consist of a mix of experienced and inexperienced players. Some players may still be learning the rules of Kickball, meaning the flow of the game will not always be natural. If the majority of players are experienced and skilled, then the team should move up to a higher level if available.
Format | Ideal Roster Size | Total # of Players | Min # of Female Players | Max # of M/X Players |
Traditional - Co-ed | 12-14 (5 F) | 10 | 3 | 7 |
When registering a full team, there is no limit to the maximum number of players you can have on the roster.
Minimum female player requirements are inclusive of anyone who identifies as female.
If a team has fewer than the minimum amount of required players at the scheduled game start time, an official game cannot be played. This is a default.
To learn more about the minimum number of players required to avoid a default, as well as scores and fee's, please check out the Defaults Chart and Default Policy.
All Kickball Leagues are self-officiated and there are no Coordinators or representatives of the CSSC onsite. In these Leagues, the Team Captain plays a larger role at game time, including:
bringing and setting up equipment
reporting the score online
locating the permit online (as needed)
managing sportsmanship at game time
communicating with the Club (as needed)
When you play with CSSC, you get the benefits of our Field Maintenance Program: mowed grass, raked shale, and marked lines ensures the safety and enjoyment of our playing fields.
