Ice Hockey

You miss 100% of the SSCHL games you don't register for.

The SSCHL - Sport and Social Club Hockey League - is your newest way to play recreational 3 on 3 Hockey in Calgary. The smaller ice surface at Hockey Hub YYC is perfectly sized for 3-on-3 action that keeps everyone in on the play, with more puck touches, scoring chances and involvement for all players.

After your game, meet up with your teammates and other players to enjoy exclusive food and drink specials at one of the CSSC's many Sponsor Bars around Calgary!

League Details

League Length
  • 11-weeks

All teams play once a week on the day they select when registering.

Typical Game Times
  • Evening Leagues: 8:30pm to 12:00am

All SSCHL games have one Referee and one Timekeeper onsite. Games are 60-minutes in length (2 x 25 minute run-time halves). There's a 3-minute warm-up at the start of each game and a fresh flood in between all games.

3 on 3 - Open

Games are played 3 on 3 (not including the goalie) with no specific gender requirements.

Divisions are based on the experience and skills of a team - not on their competitive behaviour! No matter what skill level you register for, all players are expected to play with a 'fun-first, winning-second' attitude.

If you have any questions about the different skill levels or where to place yourself, just call us!

Recreational

This division is for teams that consist of a mix of experienced and inexperienced players. Some players may still be learning the rules of Ice Hockey, meaning the flow of the game will not always be natural.
