GC of the Season Awards

Games Coordinators are essential to CSSC leagues and play a huge role in ensuring that all players enjoy themselves each and every night. The CSSC GC Team is continuously growing and although there are many excellent members out at the games, each season the Club recognizes a select few with the GC of the Season Award.

Each winner is nominated through player submissions, CSSC Staff recommendations, and/or based off the Field Staff Manager and GC Head Trainer evaluations. The goal is to award those that display a positive and friendly attitude, while at the same time getting involved with the games and providing players with the best experience possible.

Winter 2023

Games Coordinator Bio
Sam Francois - Soccer

Sports: Soccer/Multi-Sport
Rookie Season: Fall 2019

I have been a GC with the CSSC since the Fall of 2019, I was also a Field Maintenance Coordinator back in the summer of 2021. I have GC’d most sports that require a GC since my time at the club with the exception of Dodgeball and Ball Hockey. Working at the club has been one of the best work experiences I’ve ever had, I very much appreciate the fun and social environment that the league provides to their players and employees. My favorite sports are basketball, football, track, soccer and volleyball. I occasionally play basketball, soccer and flag football through the league and participate in their many fun tournaments throughout the year. I am currently a paramedic with aspirations to also be a firefighter in the near future.

Games Coordinator Bio
Trevor Stephens - Ball Hockey

Sports: Ball Hockey/Soccer
Rookie Season: Winter 2023

My name is Trevor Stephens and this was my first season with CSSC. I have played with the CSSC for 2 years now and wanted to get involved with the GC team to gain some new experiences and meet even more sport minded people. I wanted to learn as much as possible in my first season so I got trained in Soccer, Ball Hockey, Basketball, Dodgeball and parts of multi sport (it was a busy season haha). I have been involved in playing, coaching, and refereeing for many years and wanted to be involved in those activities again since my move from Ontario! This season on the other side of the whistle has been a great experience, and I hope to continue learning and growing in the large sports community that Calgary has to offer.
