GC of the Season Awards

Games Coordinators are essential to CSSC leagues and play a huge role in ensuring that all players enjoy themselves each and every night. The CSSC GC Team is continuously growing and although there are many excellent members out at the games, each season the Club recognizes a select few with the GC of the Season Award.

Each winner is nominated through player submissions, CSSC Staff recommendations, and/or based off the Field Staff Manager and GC Head Trainer evaluations. The goal is to award those that display a positive and friendly attitude, while at the same time getting involved with the games and providing players with the best experience possible.

Fall 2018

Games Coordinator Bio
Squire Ball - Basketball

Sports: Basketball
Rookie Season: Fall 2018

BIO TBD

Janelle Clark - Dodgeball

Sports: Dodgeball, Basketball, Multi-Sport
Rookie Season: Fall 2013

I started playing Basketball through CSSC in the fall of 2011 and loved it! I am still playing Basketball in the CSSC league to this day. In 2013, I was in University and was looking for part-time work when I thought it would be great to GC. At the time they didn’t need any Basketball GC’s so they decided they would train me up in Dodgeball and the rest is history. CSSC is a great organization and they really care about you as an employee. I have really enjoyed getting to know the players and other CSSC employees through the years.

Besides GCing part time, I am an Operations Technologist for an Oil and Gas Company. Some other things I enjoy doing are spending time with friends and family, camping, fishing and traveling.

Thanks for naming me GC of the Season!

Josh Knox - Floor Hockey

Sports: Floor Hockey, Basketball
Rookie Season: Fall 2017

I've played all manners of sports growing up and have tried to continue on with that as an adult. The CSSC has allowed me to play hockey and basketball with friends while getting a good workout in.

In my spare time (not that I have a lot), I watch as much sporting events that I can but I mostly just get to chill with my 2 year old son and wife.

Rachael Fyffe - Multi-Sport

Sports: Multi-Sport, Basketball, Dodgeball, Soccer
Rookie Season: Winter 2015

I started working with Calgary Sport & Social Club after playing in their Dodgeball league for several seasons. This grew into a passion for playing the sport which turned into a job recommendation and then being hired. I started out as only a Dodgeball and Basketball coordinator. Since then I have learned several more sports and enjoy all of the people that I get to meet and develop relationships with in the multi-sport league.

Sports have always been a passion of mine and I'm glad that I have the opportunity to be involved in them each week. Thank you for the honor of being GC of the season and I look forward to seeing everyone again next season.
