GC of the Season Awards

Games Coordinators are essential to CSSC leagues and play a huge role in ensuring that all players enjoy themselves each and every night. The CSSC GC Team is continuously growing and although there are many excellent members out at the games, each season the Club recognizes a select few with the GC of the Season Award.

Each winner is nominated through player submissions, CSSC Staff recommendations, and/or based off the Field Staff Manager and GC Head Trainer evaluations. The goal is to award those that display a positive and friendly attitude, while at the same time getting involved with the games and providing players with the best experience possible.

Fall 2023

Chidi Eme - Soccer

Sports: Soccer/Basketball
Rookie Season: Spring 2023

My name is Chidi and this Fall was my second season as a GC. I’ve always been a big sports fan since I was a kid and being a part of the CSSC as an adult has brought back some of that youthful exuberance. After playing for a few seasons, I appreciate the opportunity to be more involved with the CSSC as a GC and to take full advantage of the shared experiences provided through the competition and camaraderie.

Nicole Durrer - Multi-Sport

Sports: Dodgeball, Ball Hockey, Ultimate, Volleyball
Rookie Season: Fall 2023

Hey, My name is Nicole, I moved to Calgary 2 years ago to study at the University of Calgary, this was my first season as a CSSC games coordinator but have been part of the player community for a few seasons of indoor volleyball now. I am so happy I found CSSC the friends and connections I have made truly helped me feel apart of the sports community again. A few sports I GC are multi-sport ball hockey, ultimate, and volleyball aswell as the dodgeball league. My favorite sports were ball hockey and volleyball!

Bobby Bingham - Ball Hockey

Sports: Ball Hockey/Soccer
Rookie Season: Fall 2023

My names Bobby Bingham, I moved to Calgary in Oct 2022. After about a year of living in Calgary I decided to get a second job. I was looking for something social to get me out of the house. CSSC was recommended to me by my boss and I got to say I'm very grateful.

This rookie season has been great, I'm meeting new people, I'm having fun GC'n the games for the players. I even got so jealous that I decided to join a ball hockey team for the winter season. Look out Sunday Ball hockey, I'm ready to play

John Oszust - Basketball

Sports: Basketball
Rookie Season: Spring 2022

This was John's 4th full season with CSSC and he has impressed since Day 1. The consistent commentary from players on John's ability control the games while keeping things fun-first and light hearted has him as a fan favourite on the CSSC hardwood.

Hope to have John as a part of the team for many seasons to come!
