What's it Like Registering as an Individual?

One of the most common misconceptions people have when they hear "Sports League" is that if they don't have a full team to register, they're out of luck. That’s not true at all! We are happy to offer an opportunity for those interested to register individually as well.

There are many reasons why someone would choose to register as an individual, but in the end they can all expect the same thing:

  • They may choose the sport, day and division they prefer.
  • The CSSC office will then assemble a team for them, forming a roster with other individual registrants.
  • Depending on the season and sport, they may meet the rest of their team at the Pre-Season Meeting. If not, they will meet them at their first game.
  • All players will be sent their teammates' contact information prior to the first game of the season.
  • The team will then elect a Team Captain, who will be responsible for specific tasks (e.g. half-time meetings, score reporting, etc.)

For years we have watched as many of our Individuals Teams progress throughout the season, not only growing together as a team, but also becoming friends. Nothing is better than having players tell us seasons later that their Individuals Team is still together and having more fun than ever! Not to mention, many of our staff (including myself) have experienced just that. The first couple of games of the season might make you a bit anxious, but you always need to remember that everyone is in the same boat that you are. New situations can be a bit intimidating, yet in the end you’re all there to have some fun. It’s almost shocking how fast a group of strangers can mesh!
